Open up the Target
Select your device
Add Hardware Test Mode
Press play
Open up the Simulator
Scroll down to Simulated Hardware and click + to add this device

System Profiler
Select Hardware
Click the +
Click Simulator
Click the +
Select iOS Simulators
Select the simulator you want to add
Press Continue
Configure
Hardware > Device > Keyboard & Mouse > Click the gear
Click Simulated Mouse
Enable Hardware Mouse
Configure Hardware > Device > Simulated Device > Mouse
Set the mouse simulation speed
Find the monitor simulator and click it
Start
Simulator
Press the left mouse button
Drag the mouse
Click the second mouse button
Scroll the mouse
Click the shift key
In the Simulated Mouse window, click Simulated Mouse 2
Drag the mouse
Set the resolution
RIGHT CLICK on the mouse and set the resolution.
Tools > Preferences > Pointer
Click Simulated Mouse
Click Simulated Mouse 2
Find the resolutions for the monitor
Drag the mouse
Find the resolution you want to use
Click the button
Click Simulated Mouse 2
Click Left Mouse Button
Drag the mouse
Place an object
Click the right mouse button
Click in the place you want to place an object
And that's all you need to do to get the sims to play in an ultrawide monitor. Now, since it's a windows game, you may need to change the screen resolution of the game itself. However, for me it worked right out of the box. Hopefully it will work for you as well.
